After heavy rain on Wednesday we feared the worse
But Thursday was sunny though cold
We walked a slightly different route because a lot of the
blossom has gone with the deceased almond trees
Our first stop was a new plantation near Murla
Which we discovered during a recce for Orba Castle last
week
As always we had to remind everyone to stop talking and
admire the blossom
We started with 15 walkers
This included four from the Monday Group
We asked them to change to even the numbers on both walks
But Tanya and Terri had to leave before the
banana break.
Our second stop was overlooking Parcent
But it had clouded over and was too cold to sit for long
It was similar at Alcalali for our picnic stop
We got a little chilled and then set off at a fast pace
to warm up
Fortunately the sun came out again
This not only warmed us up, but made for better
photographs too
We were quite surprised that we did not see more people
walking in the valley
Our last stop was at the ermita near Alcalali
Then back to the cooperativa in Parcent
Where we were delighted to find Tanya and Terri waiting
for us
