Bright, sunny morning for our walk
Parking is becoming difficult near Gata post office, we may have to
look for an alternative
Mike missed today’s walk due to an injury
Nice to welcome Dave and Sue for one of their occasional
walks
Surprised to find fallen trees, but not any real obstacle
Quite a few had not done this walk before
But all knew about the false summit
Thanks to Steve for this interesting wide angle shot of the summit
Had three group photos at the top to choose from, this was
my favourite
Anita is still recovering from her broken wrist, and was
careful coming down
She was not alone, Jan is always particularly careful
after her fall
Well sheltered from the wind at our usual picnic spot
Thanks to David for this view from the rear
This is the best section of the walk, everyone relaxed
and chatting
And this is a natural mirador, before the next descent
Thanks to David again for this photo
We often forget how difficult this next stage can be
Though everyone managed without any problem
Most felt the walk was challenging, but well worth the
effort
Jo,Tanya and Anita lead the way back to Gata
Stats
Time taken 5.5
