2 November – Monday Ramblers – Parcent Circular

Only five of us today

We could have had seven, but are limited to a maximum of six

This was the first time we did this walk with this group

It was one that we confirmed with a recce just after lockdown

The first part, to Alcalali mirador, was familiar

But the rest was new

Fortunately both rivers we have to cross were very low

And the section through the bamboo was interesting

The wooded section was particularly nice in today’s bright sun

The apiary (bee farm) had grown considerably since our recce

It felt more like a summer walk as the temperatures rose to 27c

Interesting to see different views of familiar landmarks

The bamboo around the second river was particularly dense

Making it a little difficult to follow the track

But we reached the sun dial without getting lost

It was nice a cool at the Parcent font

Where we had a well-deserved rest

In fact it was so nice no one wanted to leave

But it was only a short walk to the cooperativea

Where the new coronavirus restrictions are impressive but confusing

Stats

Time taken – 3 hours

Distance – 8 km

Total Ascent – 50 metres

Temperature – 19-27c
