Bright, sunny day for our first walk of 2020
Chilly start so we were all well wrapped up
For most this was their first visit to this historic
water system
We had warmed up by the time we reached Lliber
Everyone was pleased to be out walking again
Meeting at the start was like the first day back
at school
For some years ago we had to do a detour to avoid an
unfriendly farmer
However John had discovered that his field is now part of
the official path
We still had our banana break in the dry river
But then we followed the now official path
Perhaps it was always the correct path and the farmer was
just being difficult
It was particularly nice in the hidden valley with the
sun shining through the trees
The only disadvantage of this walk is that there is not a
good picnic spot with a good view at the right part of the walk
That is the main reason we made the walk longer by
starting in Jalon
I have a lot of photos taken at this particularly good
photo opportunity
It is downhill all the way back to Jalon
We also did a small detour to avoid walking through
Lliber
Very pleasant walk and a great start to the 2020
walking season
Stats
Time taken 5.5
hours
Distance 15 km
Total ascent 245
metres
