14 April 2020 – Lockdown Day 33

Gata Serella Castle – 13 May 2019
Monday 13 April
Spoke to my sister in the UK this morning, and she said how pleased she was that our restrictions had been removed!    She was not aware that only certain workers, and in certain circumstances, can return to work.

She was not know that everyone else is still restricted to their home except to do essential shopping or for medical reasons.   Nor that only one person can travel do so, or travel in a car.   In fact she was not aware that here in Spain we are still much more restricted than they have ever been in the UK.

One of our neighbours went for a short walk to the end of our road.   A few have been doing this for a week or so.  As often happens, once one does it more soon follow.   She was stopped by a passing police car and given a warning.   If she is caught again it will be a 600 euro fine.   The word soon got around and will no doubt put an abrupt end to any such activity.

Today’s lockdown video is the fourth, and I get better with each one.   I guess practice makes quicker, if not perfect.

I used photographs from two November walks for this one.   The Monday walk is Lliber to Senija, and the Thursday one Tossal del Moro.   I used Nancy Sinatra “These Boots are made for Walking” as the soundtrack, as suggested by Barry Carter.

All of the popular recordings I use for the soundtrack are covered by copyright.  But usually that just means I cannot make any money from sponsorship.   Not a problem, as they have a very limited number of views anyway.

But this month the copyright bans viewing of the video in certain countries.   It includes USA, but not UK or Europe.   So it should not be a problem.

You can watch the video by following the link below.    You can get a better picture by clicking on the settings symbol and increasing the quality.
